Countable and uncountable

数えられる名詞と数えられない名詞です。

Countable

I eat a banana every day.

I like bananas.

A countable noun can be singlar or plural.

Exampls

Tsuyoshi was singing a song.

There’s a nice beach near here.

It was an accident.

There are no batteries in the radio.

We don’t have enough cups.

Uncountable

I eat rice every day.

I like rice.

An uncountable noun has only form.

Examples

Tsuyoshi was listening to (some) music.

There’s sand in my shoes.

Do you have any money?

There is no electricity in this house.

We don’t have enough water.

 

uncountableでもa … of の使い方があります。
