英語 Questions1

投稿者: | 2016年10月9日

今回英語は疑問文です。

In questions we usually put the subject after the first verb:

subject + verb                verb + subject

Tsuyoshi will  → will Tsuyoshi?

you have  → have you?

the house was → was the house?

In present simple questions, we use do/does

you live  → do you live?

the film starts → does the film start?

But do not use do/does/did if who/what etc. is the subject of the sentence

who object                                            who subject

Tsuyoshi phoned somebody                    somebody phoned Tsuyoshi

Who did Tsuyoshi phone?                        Who phoned Tsuyoshi?

whoがobjectの場合はdo/does/did を使用する。whoがsubjectの場合はdo/does/did を使用しない。

練習です。

Somebody hit me.  Who hit you?

I hit somebody. Who did you hit?

Somebody lives in that house. Who lives in that house?

I fell over something. What did you fall over?

というふうになります。
